Crab Meehoon


Eat in the comfort of your own home with DIY crab meehoon.

***RECIPE***

INGREDIENTS: 1 kg mud crabs - cleaned and cut into pieces 200 gm meehoon 4 tbsp oil 10 slices of peeled ginger 3 cups ikan bilis/pork stock 1 red carrot Choy sum 2 stalks spring onion 1 tbsp shaoxing wine 1 tbsp fish sauce Chopped garlic Spring Black beans Pepper Fried shallots - garnishing

METHOD: Ikan bilis stock - pan fry the ikan bilis with oil and ginger. Add in water and a red carrot. simmer for 1 hour . Sift to use as stock . Cook choy sum in hot water . Cut crabs . Cleaned and add in some chopped garlic and black beans. Soak meehoon and drain dry. Add oil in pan. Add in meehoon and fry till dry. Add in some black sauce. Leave aside Heat oil in pan .add in chopped garlic,sliced ginger and black beans. Fry till fragrant. Add in seasoned crabs. Add in stock and cook till crabs is cooked. Add in wine and fish sauce according to individual taste. Add in cooked meehoon and lastly cornflour thickening. Dish up crabs and garnish with choy sum, Coriander leaves, spring onions,fried spring onion and pepper
