Eight Treasures Duck

Priceless eight treasures duck lovingly prepared anD cooked by Mama Soh

***RECIPE***

INGREDIENTS:

1 fat duck sugar black sauce 1 tsp 5 spice powder 10 sliced galingale Star anise Cinnamon sticks soy sauce A handful of garlic Water Oyster sauce 8 TREASURES chestnut -wash n soaked barley red dates Gingko nuts Mushroom - cut cubes Fried whole garlics Half bowl small onion Half bowl roast pork - cut cubes

Cabbage - cook in water METHOD:

Wash duck. Rub 5 spice powder n salt in cavity. Brush duck skin with dark soy sauce Heat oil in wok, fry galingale, star anise,sugar,soy sauce , oyster sauce ,cinnamon sticks, garlic, dark soy sauce n water. Simmer duck till cooked. Cool n keep gravy. Cook the eight ingredients with water,oyster sauce , pepper, sesame oil, salt n Chinese wine. Stuff eight treasures into duck cavity n use satay stick to close it. Place stuff duck on steaming tray n steam for two hours till soft. Place duck on cooked cabbage n garnish with parsley . Thicken duck gravy with cornstarch n bathe over duck. Serve.
